Something Old, Something New

My husband drove in from work last evening with this wonderful old treasure on board! I love old fashioned items and this old kitchen cupboard is no exception! The fronts have the old wire mesh, just like the old fashioned meat safes............. Turns out it is / was known as a pie safe. The shelves inside are just the perfect size to fit family pies on. LOL. But I will be using it to house all my homemade jams and preserves............ That is, once I clean out the mud wasp nests, cobwebs and dust. It may also get a paint job too. A lovely old piece, becoming a new treasure for our little house. Just have to move some things around to make it fit in our tiny home.
